The Campaign for a Bradley Renaissance

Dear Alumni & Friends

Gerald Shaheen ’66, ’68 MBAWhen Lydia Moss Bradley established Bradley Polytechnic Institute 110 years ago, her goal was to help young men and women achieve their educational dreams and lead purposeful and useful lives. Since that time, Bradley has developed at a steady pace, and we have found ourselves as a major comprehensive institution of higher learning. As you might imagine, we are not alone in our achievements. Today, it is not enough to merely keep pace with the competition. We must move to a higher level. In recognition of this challenge, the University’s Board of Trustees has authorized the Campaign for a Bradley Renaissance that will enable us to invest in our facilities, in our faculty, in our students, and the way they learn and enjoy their collegiate experience.

Regardless of when you attended Bradley University or became a friend of the Institution, you are important to this investment. No private university can grow and stay competitive without the help of its alumni and friends. Who better understands the Bradley experience? I know I owe my personal and professional success to my experience at Bradley, and I appreciate how the value of my degree continues to increase.

The needs for new facilities on campus are compelling, and the projects described in this brochure are exciting. Imagine what an expanded and renovated Westlake Hall, a new Engineering and Business Convergence Center, Markin Family Student Recreation Center, Athletic Performance Center, Men’s Basketball Practice Facility, and Alumni Center will mean for new generations of Bradley students and alumni.

I hope you’ll agree that now is time for a Bradley Renaissance. Your support and participation is vital to our University. All gifts are important, and we are counting on your support.

It has been my privilege to serve as Chairman of the Board of Trustees since 2006 and, now, as Chairman of the Campaign for a Bradley Renaissance. We have a rare opportunity to work together to make Bradley, our University, a very special place. Please join me by supporting the Bradley Renaissance.

Sincerely,

Gerald Shaheen ’66, ’68 MBA
